  • Oxetacaine is a potent local anesthetic. It is an amide anesthetic that is stated to have prolonged action. It is administered by mouth in conjugation with antacids; aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide, for symptomatic relief of pain associated with peptic ulcer disease (gastro-esophageal reflex disease).
